Sketches drawn by Reggie while living in Sembehun, Sierra Leone and teaching primary school as a Peace Corps Volunteer, 1968-71

Drawings by Schoolchildren

We both had our primary school students draw pictures of their villages. We’ve given the originals to the John Hope Franklin Research Center at the David M. Rubenstein Library at Duke University. The digital images are available to the MPCE and others who are interested. See them at https://celestehodges4ec3.myportfolio.com
Hodges’ Photograph Collection
We took hundreds of photos of village life in Sierra Leone during the period 1968-78. The curated collection of 550 images – negatives, slides, prints, digital – is housed at the John Hope Franklin Research Center at the David M. Rubenstein Library at Duke University. The digital collection is available online to the MCPE and others who are interested, as Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial.
